Draft Horse or Pony Head Study

This pin could be a pulling pony or a draft horse.  The horse is wearing farm or logging harness as you can see the collar with heavy hames.  This pin is 1 1/4 " tall.  It was carved by artist/jeweler Beth Maxwell Boyle.  The pin was hand cast in lead free jeweler's pewter and polished  to a nice bright finish. The findings are hand soldered.  This can be worn on a man's hat or on a lady's jacket!

Rabbit or Hare Pin

This is a super little tack pin that secures to your clothing with two pins so it can't swivel around.  I just love this realistic rabbit. We reproduced this from a 19th Century stamping and it looks excellent in antiqued pewter which brings out the detail.  This rabbit looks like he is running swiftly from a predator.  He almost looks like a European hare with his powerful back legs and long ears.  This pin would be a nice gift for a rabbit fancier or for some one who runs beagles and hunts.  It certainly is not too feminine for a gentleman to wear on a hat or vest.  We have Mini Rex rabbits that look allot like this fellow.   The casting was done by James Boyle here in our country studio in Western, NY.  The findings are cast in place.   The pewter is completely lead-free so a child is safe wearing this smart little rabbit casting.  The pin is 1 and 1/2 inches long.

Ox Yoke Pin

This wonderful little ox yoke pin is cast from lead-free jeweler's pewter.  It is finely detailed right down to the woodgrain on the yoke.  This yoke pin has a heavy metal closure and pin with safety fastener.  The ox yoke pin would make a lovely gift for someone who collects country antiques or loves American history!   It is about 2 inches wide.  Each one is hand cast by James E. Boyle and all findings are hand soldered.  Jim designed this for the oxen pulls in Pennsylvania we go to with our neighbors who work Devons, Milking Shorthorns, and Swiss.  They are wonderful sight to behold.  The ox yoke is often used as a Christian symbol as well. This little yoke can be pinned to a man's hat or worn by a lady!  Cattle and oxen drovers, step right up and get this for your hat or oilskins!
