Lady Driving Cart Pin

This pin was created by James E. Boyle and was finely carved from actual photographs of driving horses.   From the flowers on the lady's hat to the winkers on the horse's bridle every feature has been delicately carved in fine detail.  The horse looks so animated and lifelike you can almost feel the motion. This pin is 1 1/2"  X    2" and was cast in lead-free, jeweler's pewter.  The findings were hand soldered and the pin is signed by the artist!

Celtic Horse Pendant

This is a new piece I am crazy about.  It is the classic Celtic Horse design as seen on our other pieces but this pendant is a wonderful size and very striking. This is a Celtic disc pendant that can be worn on a chain or a cord.   It is hand cast in solid, lead free, jeweler's pewter and signed by the artist.  This has never been seen anywhere but here as it was just completed by the artist, James E. Boyle, this week.  The design was taken from Bain and is a wonderful Celtic, zoomorphic, horse design, seen here at close to actual size.  The pendant is 1 and 1/4 inches without the loop.  This is in between the size of our pin /pendant and the Celtic horse necklace we offer on eBay.  This Celtic Horse Pendant would be very attractive worn with our Celtic Horse earrings.   The etching is deeper and clearer and the impact of this pendant is visually like a jewel.  It  is slightly domed and cast in one piece.  (no solder joints to break).   We are sure someone you love would be thrilled to receive this fine piece as a gift.

Drafthorse Scatter pin

This pin was reproduced from an antique silver pin an elderly, Amish gentleman brought back from England many years ago.  He asked me to reproduce this for his Shire horse club and I said sure.  With his blessing I have added it to our line.  It is perfect for all draft breeds and is a nice size that can be worn by a man or a women.   It has two pins to hold it with pinch backs so it won't spin in place or tear your garments.  It is a great pin to wear on a hat or cap.

Draft Horse or Pony Head Pin

This pin could be a pulling pony or a draft horse.  The horse is wearing farm or logging harness as you can see the collar with heavy hames.  This pin is 1 1/4 " tall.  It was carved by artist/jeweler Beth Maxwell Boyle.  The pin was hand cast in lead free jeweler's pewter and polished  to a nice bright finish. The findings are cast in place.  This can be worn on a man's hat or on a lady's jacket!

Draft Horses Plowing, Belt Buckle

This is a  wonderful buckle by James Edward Boyle. Jim carves his designs from real photographs and live models.  This nice traditional team of work horses could be plowing, cultivating or raking hay!  This would be a great buckle for Haflinger owners too!  This is a limited  edition piece so bid now and get a low number of the 2500 that will be cast.  This buckle is designed for the active man or women so it should hold up to years of wear.  The buckle is cast in high quality jeweler's pewter not cheap, pot metal like so many buckles.  This lead free pewter contains 2% real silver which gives it hardness and helps it hold its shine!   The buckle is designed to fit a belt that is 1  1/2" to 1  1/4" in diameter.  The oval is about 3 1/8 X 2 inches.  These would make excellent trophies for your county fair or plowing match!

Spirited Horse Brooch

This pin is a reproduction from a cool old horse brooch from the 19th Century.  The detail is grand.  This spirited horse is cast in fine jeweler's pewter that is 100% lead free. It has a sturdy, hand soldered, bar pin on the back with a safety clasp and is burnished to a warm glow.  The pin about 1 and 3/4" wide from the raised leg to the tail. This horse recalls the wonderful engravings and graphics in Victorian Horse books and New England Farm journals.  Its not unlike a Morgan or Hackney pony.  The tail is short as most horses had banged or docked tails to keep them out of the mud during Victorian times, even Morgans!

Here is a pair of wonderful horse and hunt earrings.  The little cantering horses are ringed by a hunt whip coiled up to form a circular frame about them. The width is about 3/4 inch. The mold for these equestrian earrings was made here in our studio from a 19th Century piece I purchased many years ago in a little antique shop near our home. !  The style of these has a great deal of flair and Victorian charm. Each horse earring is hand cast in  lead-free jeweler's pewter and polished to a warm glow. These are really quite light weight and have surgical steel, French style, ear wires that should be fine for even the most sensitive ears!  We supply keepers or rubber ear nuts so you don't loose an earring while taking fences or crossing water!
